You have amazing marketing content! Now the question is, what do you do with it?

We can all agree that a little creativity and marketing basics can go a long way. But in order for a marketing plan to be successful you have to know your audience. That means you know their pain points, have great solutions and are ready to market yourself accordingly.

Effective online marketing is much about a plan as it is technology. This Online Marketing Checklist will help you get organized and ensure each post has a purpose.

THE PLAN: 1.  The Goal Know where visitors will end up and what you want them to do. You have to be strategic with your goal. It should always incorporate a call-to-action. Will all efforts take people to a Landing Page that collects an email address? Are you encouraging a purchase or booked session of some sort. Make sure your call-to-action is vivid, clear, and easily accessible.

2.  The Offer These are the tools you will use to get them to take action. Even if you are using free efforts like a Facebook post, think of them as an ad.  Design your post or article to entice viewers to take an action.  To click through to your landing page, to fill out a webform.  Even if you content is a helpful article, somewhere in there should be a strong call to action.

3.  The Channels Now that you have a goal and an offer to encourage them to take action it is time to decide where and how you will put it out.

This includes articles, ads and posts.

EXECUTING YOUR PLAN: Write content and ads for the channel in which you plan to promote on.  Often one piece of content can be used on many channels.
